Vil prøve tømmervogntog på 74 tonn på norske veger

Stortingets næringskomité går inn for en prøveordning med vogntog på opptil 74 tonn for skogindustrien. Sverige og Finland bruker allerede så store vogntog, mens grensen i Norge foreløpig er på 60 tonn, noe som betyr høyere transportkostnader. Store vogntog betyr også at flaskehalsene i veinettet må utbedres.
– Det er slik vi utløser konkurransekraft. Å utbedre en liten bru som stopper 60 tonns vogntog er et lite tiltak som utløser store besparelser, sier Hjemdal. I tillegg åpnes det for at skogeierne kan investere skattefritt i skogindustrien. Reaksjonen fra skogeierne er overveiende positiv.
– Vi nærmer oss en helhetlig strategi for skogen, sier administrerende direktør Erik Lahnstein i Norges Skogeierforbund.
